Dot on the map — a real field recording
Three passive NextMAG units watched one patch of ground while a car pulled into a spot, parked for about a minute and a half, then left. This is that recording — replayed through the same localizer the live Vehicle Gate runs. The dot holds on the parked car, flickers red as it moves in and out, and goes dark during site-wide magnetic swings. Real readings; nothing re-enacted.

Replaying the recording through the localizer…
What you're watching
- Red — the object is moving. As the car pulls in and later pulls away, the localizer has a live fix and draws its path.
- Magenta — parked. The car stops. The localizer freezes its baseline the moment it arrived, so a parked object keeps its dot for the whole stop instead of fading into the background — about ninety seconds here.
- Grey hatch — site-wide swing, no dot (by design). When every unit moves together — distant current, geomagnetic activity — there is no local object, so the localizer draws nothing. A missing dot is an answer, not a gap.
- Signal at each unit. The raw field change at A, B and C. The dot only appears when one source explains all three at once.
See it live
The same localizer runs over three real units on the gate page — the live version of the dot you just watched.
